Javier Aguirre, is a co-founder of Farragut Capital Partners. He first joined Farragut Capital Partners’ predecessor firm, SPP Mezzanine Partners, in 2007 as Vice President and served on the firm’s Investment Committee from 2008 until 2011. Prior to SPP Mezzanine, Mr. Aguirre was with Lehman Brothers' Investment Management Division in New York, where he worked on strategic acquisitions and various organic growth initiatives for the firm's $175 billion institutional asset management business. He began his investing career at Darby Overseas Investments, a global emerging markets private equity and venture capital firm founded and led by former U.S. Treasury Secretary Nicholas Brady. Before Darby, Mr. Aguirre was with Deutsche Banc Alex Brown's mergers and acquisitions practice in Baltimore. He holds an M.B.A. from Columbia University, a B.S. in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, and is a CFA charter holder and member of the CFA Institute and the Washington Society of Investment Analysts.
Mark Franz is the co-founder of BlueDelta Capital Partners, a growth capital firm focused on the U.S. Federal Government Technology (GovTech) marketplace.
Mr. Frantz currently serves on the Board of Directors or Advisory Board for numerous privately-held growth companies and non-profit organizations, as well as on the Board of Directors for CSRA (NYSE: “CSRA”). Mr. Frantz was actively involved in Blue Delta’s successful investments in 42Six (acq. by CSC), Acentia (acq. by MAXIMUS), PAE (acq. by Platinum Equity), and KTSi (acq. by Scitor).
Mr. Frantz has served as the Managing General Partner of In-Q-Tel (the strategic venture capital affiliate of the U.S. Intelligence Community), a Principal with Carlyle Venture Partners, a Partner at RedShift Ventures, the Associate to the Senior Chairman at Alex. Brown, the economic and technology policy advisor to Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge and the Associate Director of The White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs under President George H. W. Bush.
During his career, Mark has had the privilege and pleasure of investing in and working with a number of successful companies and their excellent management teams, including NetWitness (acq. by EMC/RSA), Sourcefire (Nasdaq: “FIRE”, then acquired by Cisco), Blackboard (Nasdaq: “BBBB”, then acquired by Providence Equity), Intelliworks (acq. by Hobsons), Imagitas (acq. by Pitney Bowes), ISR Solutions (acq. by Stanley Works), Compusearch (acq. by Arlington Capital & JMI Equity), HelloWallet (acq. by Morningstar), ODIN Technologies (acq. by Quake Technologies) and New Media Strategies (acq. by Meredith Corp.)
Mr. Frantz holds J.D. and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Pittsburgh and a B.A. degree (double major, history and political science) from Allegheny College, where he was a NCAA All-American swimmer.
Adam Nalls is a Senior Vice President with Access National Bank in Reston, VA. Adam leads the Bank’s lending in the government contracting services sector focusing on both providing working capital financing and term debt for M&A activity. Prior to joining Access National Bank in 2009, Adam’s background was in commercial credit underwriting at Provident Bank and SBA lending with PNC Bank. Adam is originally from the DC metro area and has a degree in Business Administration from Washington and Lee University.
