The Small and Emerging Contractors Advisory Forum (SECAF), the premier organization for the small and emerging government contractor, announces the winners of the Second Annual SECAF Awards Gala. The SECAF Awards Gala is the premier commemorative event honoring small and emerging government contractors and the players in the ecosystem that rely on small business.

The winners and their categories are as follows:

SECAF Contractor of the Year (under $6 million): Integrity Management Consulting
SECAF Contractor of the Year ($6 to $12 million): Culmen International
SECAF Contractor of the Year ($12 to $25 million): SENTECH, Inc.

Small Business Partner (Privately-owned less than $25 million): LMI
Small Business Partner (Publicly-owned greater than $25M): CACI International

Government Advocate of the Year: Kevin Boshears, Department of Homeland Security

The 2010 winners were chosen from among 22 finalists in all categories, at a gala on April 29, 2010 at the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner. The original field of nominations included nearly 100 submissions.

“This is the second year we have been able to applaud the success of these notable companies in the government contracting community—we expect to see growth continue from these companies,” stated Shiv Krishnan, chairman of SECAF and CEO of government contractor INDUS Corporation. “We also offer great appreciation for the friends of the emerging contractor: the industry small business partners and the advocates within government who enable our community to succeed. We are proud to offer a forum for them to be recognized.”

“These companies have demonstrated what it takes to succeed,” added Mark Moore, John Marshall Bank, and Scott Brezler, Goodman and Company, co-chairs for the Awards Gala selection committee. “We applaud the successes of this year’s award winners, nominated companies and the industry as a whole and we look forward to a successful 2010.”
