Scott has practiced as a certified public accountant for over a decade. Previously, he was associated with a large regional firm as a supervising senior.  Scott heads all financial accounting services for the Government Contractor Services Group of the firm. In addition, Scott has obtained a Master’s Certificate in Government Contracting from the George Washington University. As a result, he has experience in the following areas of practice:

Development of required financial auditing procedures on organizations including accounting for various types of contracts with numerous department agencies of the federal government

Analysis and evaluation of job costing systems and contract compliance for various government contracting institutions

Performance of the following procedures on government contracting engagements

• Analysis of indirect rate structures
• Cost allowability and allocability
• Federal acquisition registration and cost accounting standards issues
• Internal control efficiency and
• Effectiveness and operating optimization
• Termination

Identification of accounting deficiencies regarding application of technical accounting procedures and reporting disclosure requirements under Generally Accepted Accounting Principles Preparation of tax returns for government contractors and other companies as well as informational returns for nonprofit entities.
