Coker Logistics Solutions (CLS) became involved with SECAF after my banker, a member of the SECAF board, invited me to the Annual Awards Gala. I met a lot of other small businesses like us, with a government contractor focus, which told me SECAF was the right place for CLS. 

I had looked at other associations, but for a variety of reasons they weren’t the right fit for CLS. As a small business we don’t have a lot of money for business development, and need a maximum return on our investment. SECAF provided that.

Since becoming a member of SECAF, I’ve attended many events that focus on the issues that small businesses are facing. I even received advice on how to restructure our financial portfolio in order to achieve a larger credit line to help develop new business. This advice was invaluable; it allowed us to get loans, which is tough for a small business to do.  

The business model of the near future is collaboration, and if the true ability to collaborate well is key, SECAF provides that. Unless you can do business alone, you need connectivity with people, business and government. SECAF is a fantastic place to find those things. It’s affordable and is a great environment to learn and network.
