Shiv Krishnan founded INDUS Corporation and started operational focus in 1993, following 14 years of public sector and Fortune 500 IT consulting experience. Under Mr. Krishnan's leadership, in thirteen years, INDUS has grown into a financially strong and stable nationwide Federal IT Solutions firm with more than 500 employees and revenues of $100 million, with SEI CMM Level 3 and ISO 9001:2000 certifications. Over the last ten years, INDUS has remained on several of the fastest growing companies lists in the U.S., including INC 500, Washington Technology, Washington Business Journal, Virginia's Fantastic Fifty, Deloitte & Touche FAST 50 and US FAST 500, and FAST TRACK 50.

INDUS Corporation specializes in developing Web and IT solutions by integrating enterprise data management systems, e-business, geographic information systems, data warehousing, and telecommunications technologies. As President & CEO of INDUS, Mr. Krishnan directs the company's business strategy, acquisitions, alliances, and strategic relationships.

As a renowned President and CEO, Mr. Krishnan has been the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions. He was selected as the 2002 SBA Small Business Person of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year in 1999 by VRSDC, a three-time finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, and for 2001 and 2002 one of the "Fifty Most Influential Minorities in Business" according to MBPN. In April 2004, a film crew profiled INDUS and Mr. Krishnan for a PBS Show that aired in the U.S. and international markets.

Mr. Krishnan has held management and engineering positions at American Management Systems and Versar, Inc. Mr. Krishnan graduated from University of Madras, India, with a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY, with a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, and has completed coursework in MIS and Computer Science. Mr. Krishnan also completed an advanced business management program of study at Dartmouth University's Tuck School of Business.
