Tiffanny Gates
Ms. Gates is currently the Vice President for Cyber Strategies at Blackbird Technologies. She assumed this role in December of 2010 and will focus on developing future programs in the Cyber/Advanced Technologies business areas. She will also work as an advisor and appointed board member for business development and growth plans to several portfolio companies of Razor's Edge Fund L.P., a national security focused venture capital fund Prior to joining Blackbird, Ms Gates was the Sr. Vice President, Strategy & Business Development for Mission, Cyber & Technology Solutions (MCTS) Group at ManTech International. In this role, she served as head of Business Development for the fastest growing business sector at ManTech. She also worked as the lead Cyber Strategy officer within MCTS and coordinated on Investor Relations and Outreach, while also actively participating in the acquisition pipeline for this dynamic market. Prior to assuming this leadership role within MCTS, she served as VP, Chief Technology Officer and Deputy Chief of the Cyber Sector as a part of the Security and Mission Assurance Group.
Ms. Gates came to ManTech International from an acquisition of her company, Emerging Technologies Group (ETG) in August 2008. She served as the President and CEO of ETG for more than five years with a successful track record of growth, recognition in the computer forensics and analysis community and successful coordination of global operations. Prior to her role as President and CEO, Ms. Gates served as ETG's Corporate Vice President and Chief Operations Officer to DoD and U.S. Government customers.
Prior to her experience at ETG, Ms. Gates served as a consultant to a National Security/Information Assurance Team for the Commander, Naval Security Group and supported construction of C4ISR architectures for the Information Operations and Maritime Cryptologic Architecture Program. She also worked with the National Security Agency as a technical analyst specializing in counterintelligence threats posed by Information Technology. Ms. Gates served in the U.S. Navy as a Cryptologic Officer for more than 7 years.
Ms. Gates holds a B.S. degree from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD.
