Richard is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Spear, Inc. He is responsible for the company’s overall strategy, leadership and long-term growth. In this capacity, he leverages more than 23+ years of demonstrated success in the government contracting, information technology and management consulting industries. From inception to date, Richard has led Spear from an idea sketched out on a whiteboard to an emerging growth firm focused on delivering leading edge IT, cyber, and data analytics solutions, performance, and results for Spear’s clients - The U.S. Federal Government.

Prior to his current position, Richard served as the President/Vice-President of Dell Services Federal Government, a Fortune 50 organization. There he was responsible for oversight of the company’s business operations and service delivery to its civilian federal government, Department of Defense, and national security customers. During his time at Dell Services, formerly Perot Systems, Richard was instrumental to the growth of the organization’s consulting, business process outsourcing and information technology service offerings. While under Richard’s leadership, Dell Services helped numerous agencies streamline their business processes, enhance operational efficiency, and increase the effectiveness of program security and performance. Prior to Dell, Richard’s background includes serving in several managerial positions in the banking, financial, and management consulting industries.

Richard earned a Bachelor of Science in finance from Virginia Tech and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in finance and management information systems from George Washington University.  He is an active member of numerous industry, philanthropic, and educational organizations including, but not limited to: Board Member, Small and Emerging Contractor Advisory Forum (SECAF); Board Member, The Community Foundation of Northern Virginia (CFNV), Board Member, The Virginia Tech National Capital Region Leadership Council. 

Richard and his wife, Kathryn, reside with their children in the Northern Virginia area.
