Scott has practiced as a certified public accountant since 1991. Scott heads all financial accounting services for the Government Contractor Segment Group, and is a member of the firm executive committee. In addition, Scott has obtained a Master’s Certificate in Government Contracting from the George Washington University. As a result, he is a specialist in the following areas of practice:
  • Financial statement audits and reviews of government contractors including accounting for various types of contracts with numerous agencies of the federal government
  • Accounting system assessment including job costing systems and compliance regulations
  • Government contract compliance and consulting, including:
    • Analysis of indirect rate structures and optimization
    • Cost allowability and allocability
    • Federal Acquisition Regulations and Cost Accounting Standards compliance
    • Internal control efficiency and effectiveness
    • Profit enhancement
Scott also has experience in identification of accounting deficiencies regarding application of technical accounting procedures and reporting disclosure requirements under Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
