Mike is a Partner with Aprio’s Aerospace, Defense & Government Services (ADG) Group supporting the government contracting community.  Passionate about supporting his clients and the government contracting community as a trusted advisor, Michael’s experience spans organizations of all sizes, from early-stage startups to companies operating in the middle market. Dedicated to strengthening financial readiness, he helps organizations improve compliance and financial capability while positioning them for sustainable growth. He is recognized for a collaborative, solution-driven approach that steers organizations through complexity, whether they are looking to scale their growth to the next level or enter into M&A activity.

Prior to joining Aprio, Mike was part of CAVU Advisors for 12 years where he spent the last several years in an executive leadership role, driving growth and relationships.  Working with his clients he directed financial frameworks for contractors at various stages; developed compliant systems for scaling organizations; advised executive teams on enhancing financial operations for their strategic initiatives; and established strategic partner programs with technology partners and other key platforms essential for compliant accounting and project management. 

Mike is a member of the board of directors for SECAF and co-chair of the membership committee for the organization.  He is also a member of the Fort Meade Alliance (FMA).  Mike earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Maryland University College.  Mike lives outside of Annapolis near the bay with his wife Christina.
