Jason March, Vice President, Federal Practice Leader
There are dozens of industry associations focused on government contracting, each with its own unique focus and area of concentration. However, SECAF maintains a laser focus on advocating for and creating opportunities for small businesses. If you are the founder or leader of a small business, there is no reason to look elsewhere. For the nominal annual fee, there is no better use of scarce investment dollars than in a SECAF membership.
Natoma Technologies joined SECAF in 2014 to help extend our presence in the contracting market and expand our network of business partners and service providers. Since then, we have raised our profile as an active participant in the federal marketplace and have succeeded in engaging with long-term partners. Further, the access to SECAF services and the opportunity to engage with the association is well worth it – like using the Contractors Advice Forum (CAF) to gain invaluable insight regarding cost accounting standards and FAR compliance.
The specific emphasis on small business activities has also helped us identify a number of new partners and further develop existing relationships. By participating in monthly member events and volunteering on committees, we have been afforded the opportunity to create meaningful connections with other members in our peer group. The briefings and forums are a great opportunity to network and celebrate the achievements of SECAF members, government partners, and our industry in general.
