SECAF Elects New Board of Directors Leadership
Effective January 1, Cameron Hamilton Named President;
Pava Cohen to Lead Communications Committee
 
January 5, 2016, McLean, VA – The Small and Emerging Contractors Advisory Forum (SECAF), the premier organization for the small and emerging government contractor community, today announced the appointment of Cameron Hamilton (Principal, The McLean Group) as Chairman of the Board and Pava Cohen (President of the Government Group, Sage Communications) to the Board of Directors.  Hamilton has served on the Board since 2010 and will continue driving the organization’s mission of providing education, resources, and advocacy vehicles that enable the government contractor community’s success and access to federal opportunities.  Cohen will lend her communications expertise in extending the SECAF brand.
 
Hamilton succeeds Scott Brezler, Partner at Dixon Hughes Goodman. “The value that SECAF delivers to our membership base and the contracting community as a whole is unsurpassed.  Building on years of achievements in challenging times, I greatly look forward to stewarding in the next round of successes,” said Hamilton. 
 
Hamilton joined The McLean Group in 2001.  During his tenure, he has been involved in more than 30 successful sell- and buy-side M&A and capital formation engagements. Focused on serving federal contracting clients, he has advised on over 35 government contracting deals including SPARC in its sale to Booz Allen Hamilton, dTS in its acquisition by Palladium Group, NetCentrics in its acquisition by Haystax Technologies (an Edgewater Funds portfolio company), and SigInt Technologies in its sale to Novetta Solutions (an Arlington Capital portfolio company). Hamilton holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Princeton University where he was a member of nationally ranked varsity swimming and water polo teams.
 
Cohen is responsible for division leadership and new business initiatives for Sage’s government portfolio. She developed her outreach expertise across a range of vertical markets including government with ENC Marketing & Communications, non-profit with Omnistudio, financial services with Creative Solutions International and digital with iXL. Cohen earned a Bachelors of Science in Journalism from the University of Maryland. She also serves as the current Chair of the NVTC Health Technology Communications Committee and volunteers on various committees with ACT-IAC.
