2013 Award Winners
May 3, 2013, McLean, VA – The Small and Emerging Contractors Advisory Forum (SECAF) today announced the winners for its Fifth Annual SECAF Awards. SECAF’s flagship event honors small and emerging government contractors and the players in the industry that rely on small businesses. Winners were announced yesterday during the annual Awards Gala at the Hilton McLean in Tysons Corner.
They were selected in eight categories. The Government Contractor of the Year recognizes companies that have shown a compelling and profound commitment to excellence in financial performance. The SECAF Award of Excellence highlights organizations that represent excellence within their respective communities, the government contracting industry, and towards employees. The Government Project of the Year is given to a company that has delivered an exemplary program with significant value to the federal government. The Small Business Partner of the Year is awarded to a company that has demonstrated its ability to establish and support mentorships, teaming, partnerships, and other beneficial programs for small businesses. Finally, the Government Advocate of the Year is awarded to someone that has provided leadership, commitment and direction and has had a profound and positive impact on the small and emerging contracting community.
2013 winners are as follows:
SECAF Government Contractor of the Year (under $6 million in revenue):
- Navanti Group, LLC.
SECAF Government Contractor of the Year ($6 to $12 million in revenue):
- InCadence Strategic Solutions Corp.
SECAF Government Contractor of the Year ($12 to $25 million in revenue):
- Innovative Defense Technologies
SECAF Small Business Partner of the Year ($25 to $100 million in revenue):
- ASM Research, Inc.
SECAF Small Business Partner of the Year (over $100 million in revenue):
- DCS Corporation
SECAF Government Project of the Year:
- Potomac Healthcare Solutions
SECAF Award of Excellence:
- Excella Consulting, Inc.
SECAF Government Advocate of the Year:
- Bridget Bean, U.S. Small Business Administration
“It is a great honor to recognize these companies that consistently demonstrate the commitment, drive and leadership that enable the government contractor community as a whole to reach higher levels,” said Kwesi Rogers, chairman of SECAF and president of Federal National Commercial Credit. “We are privileged to celebrate their accomplishments amongst colleagues and peers.”
