March 27, 2012, McLean, VA – The Small and Emerging Contractors Advisory Forum (SECAF), the premier organization for the small and emerging government contractor, is pleased to announce the finalists for its Fourth Annual SECAF Awards. The SECAF Awards Gala is the premier commemorative event honoring small and emerging government contractors and the players in the industry that rely on small business. The winners will be announced at the gala on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner.

“SECAF represents government contractors who collect less than $25 million in annual revenue, and so we believe this niche market is well-deserving and in need of recognition of jobs well done,” said Kwesi Rogers, chairman of SECAF and president of Federal National Payables. “SECAF is honored to present these awards to those contractors and partners in our community that consistently put forth great work and produce business results that benefit the Washington, D.C. area.”

This year, finalists were chosen in six revenue-based categories. The Government Contractor of the Year awards recognize Washington, D.C. headquartered companies that have shown a commitment to excellence in the previous year. The Small Business Partner of the Year is awarded to Washington, D.C. area integrators that have shown strong support for smaller contractors through mentorships, partnerships, etc. The SECAF Award of Excellence highlights a professional in the government contracting community who has produced honorable work and exceeded expectations of industry colleagues. Finally, a Government Small Business Advocate of the Year award will be given to one deserving government professional who has stood out amongst his/her peers within the community in terms of leadership and commitment. This honoree will be named and recognized by SECAF’s chairman at the Awards Gala.
