Kahni Ward-Uzzell is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Flexwind, Inc. The woman-owned Northern Virginia-based IT firm serves customers in both the Federal (Defense and Intelligence communities) and commercial sectors. Kahni brings more than 20 years of experience integrating system engineering with governance, strategy, policy and analysis to her leadership role at Flexwind, Inc.

Before co-founding Flexwind in 2016, Kahni honed her industry skills as a program manager and then as an executive-level manager focused on leading and director technical solutions for various missions within the federal sector. Prior to that, she served as Special Assistant in the Executive Office of the Mayor of the District of Columbia and then as Chief of Staff for the DC Office of Contracting and Procurement.  

In 2021, Kahni was named to the Forbes Next 1000 List of Upstart Entrepreneurs. In 2022 and 2023, Flexwind, Inc. was listed among the Best Places to Work by Virginia Business. 

Kahni earned a B.S. in Speech Communication from James Madison University and an MBA from Howard University. She is User Experience Certified (UXC) and holds the PMP, ITIL v3 Foundations, and ScrumMaster certifications. Kahni also received the PMI
Certificate in Public Management from George Washington University.
