Matt Agresti is a Senior Vice President and Relationship Manager at EagleBank since March 2023. Prior to arriving at EagleBank, he spent 34 years with Bank of America (25 years in the Washington DC market). He has been in commercial banking for the majority of his career. In his role today, he leads and quarterbacks a team of product and service specialists to deliver strategic financial advice and solutions to help organizations grow, improve cash flow, lend and manage their cash management capabilities.
Based in Tysons Corner, VA, Agresti is responsible for managing and directing his client’s commercial banking relationship with the bank. He is an active participant in the relationships that he fosters, meeting with clients on a quarterly basis that provides feedback and advise on how to maintain and grow his organization’s bottom line and effectively leverage the bank’s services and product lines.
Matt conducts both an annual relationship review and mid-year review that focuses on the client’s organizational success, specifically its financial and operational performance, and provides feedback and analysis when needed. His driver on relationships is to be a “pro-active” banking consultant when warranted. He was the recipient of BOA’s top award for Commercial Banker 7 times (Award of Excellence – Top 5%) for all bankers in the U.S.
Prior to joining the banking industry, Agresti served in the United States Air Force out of college. He was active duty for one year and served the last seven years in the reserves. He has been in banking since 1989, became a commercial banker in 1996 in Tampa, FL and moved to the Washington, DC region in 1998.
Agresti has a B.A in International Studies from the University of South Florida and received a commission as an officer in the United States Air Force in 1988. He served 8 years (7 with the USAF Reserves) and retired from the service at MacDill AFB in the summer of 1996.
Active in the community, Agresti serves as the Past Co-Chairman on the Board of Directors for SECAF (Small and Emerging Contractors Advisory Forum). He continues today to be on the board and an active member of the Membership Committee and Chairs the SECAG Golf Committee. He has been a member of SECAF for over 10 years. Agresti was recently elected back onto the Board of FAR (Finance and Administration Roundtable), where he served before from 2014 to 2018. He has been affiliated with FAR since 2001.
Other organizations that Agresti is affiliated include AFCEA NOVA, National Defense Industrial Association, Marine Corps Association and the Association of the U.S. Army.
He is a member of the Leadership Greater Washington (Class of 2017), and works on the Veterans Committee of this organization. He was Big Brother for 7 years with the Greater Tampa Bay Big Brothers/Big Sisters organization. He served on multiple committees with the Outback Bowl from 1990 to 1998 while in Tampa, FL.
Matt lives in Haymarket, VA with his wife, Lisa and there 3 children (Luke, Mark and Mary).
